A Heartfelt Goodbye from all of us at Wild Tree Yoga

Ten years on - Wild Tree Yoga (formerly Children’s Yoga Tree) is officially announcing that from September we will no longer be running online Yoga Teacher Training Courses. Emma and Siobhan have taken this decision, after an fantastic decade together, so that they can focus on exciting new projects in their local communities in Sussex and Johannesburg.

We would like to thank all 350 Yoga Teachers worldwide - from South Dakota to South Africa and Devon to Doha who have trained with Wild Tree Yoga - in Children’s Yoga, 200 hour adult yoga or specialist SEN and mindfulness courses. We have been inspired by the skilled and supportive community that has come together around Wild Tree Yoga. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it’s one that feels wholesome and aligned. We're choosing to focus on bringing our teachings directly into our local communities - into schools, studios, retreat spaces and classrooms where we can be fully present and involved.

What’s next?
Emma continues to expand her specialist work with SEND children and adults in Sussex - supporting and training schools and teachers to provide accessible, therapeutic yoga. Stay connected for her Yoga Alliance accredited mentorships and specialist trainings. She is also following her passion for bodywork with her busy massage studio in Brighton where she offers a unique blend of Thai, Deep Tissue and Sports massage for deep healing.

Siobhan has been lovingly building a retreat centre in Johannesburg, offering in-person classes and will still be running her online short courses, as well as international retreats and teacher trainings in South Africa.

Mentorships
Both Emma and Siobhan will continue offering mentorship for yoga teachers. We remain committed to our ethos of community and supporting our teachers. You can follow our new journeys and ongoing offerings via our contact details and socials below:

To each and every one of you — our heartfelt thank you! Thank you for your love, your support, your trust, and your dedication to yoga. We will always hold our time with you close to our hearts.

As we close this chapter with Wild Tree Yoga, we open space for something new, and we truly hope you’ll continue to walk alongside us in whatever way feels right for you. Please stay in touch, keep following our journeys, and know that this isn’t goodbye, just a gentle shift into something new.

With so much gratitude and love,
Emma & Siobhan

About Wild Tree Yoga

Wild Tree Yoga was founded by Vinyasa and Restorative yoga teachers Emma Charvet and Siobhan Power who each have over 15 years experience of teaching children, adults and families in Europe and South Africa. Their vision is to make therapeutic yoga accessible and inclusive to vulnerable communities and bring playfulness and creative expression to the ancient art of teaching yoga.

Emma and Siobhan’s yoga classes for children, adults and families put inclusivity and connection to nature at the heart of their teaching - using yoga as a tool for physical and mental wellbeing and daily mindfulness.

Wild Tree Yoga’s inspirational and unique approach to yoga teacher training is deeply supportive of each student and their own individual path. Their training courses and mentorships support neurodiversity both in their approach and content - equipping students to be an inspiration for wellbeing and mindfulness amidst the deep challenges we all encounter.

Our Instructors

Emma Charvet

Emma is a 500-hour senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals. She trained with internationally renowned Vinyasa teachers Clare Missingham and Jason Crandell. She is also a Thai Yoga Massage practitioner through the Sunshine Network. From her teachers, she has gained a passion for understanding the mechanics and energy of the body, and its interconnectedness with the mind.

Siobhan Power

Siobhan started her yoga journey in India where she studied her 500 hours traditional yoga teacher training with her teacher and mentor, Ganga Devi of The Himalayan Yoga Institute. Her curiosity about bodywork and energy healing led her to train with Jambo Truong, a Forest Guardian and bodyworker, which expanded her knowledge and understanding of bodywork, trauma and yoga, which is where her teachings currently lie.

Accredited Courses

Wild Tree Yoga Teacher Training courses are fully accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals - UK’s leading professional organisation for yoga teachers. Graduates of our Wild Tree Yoga courses can become registered Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
